Gennie Blanton, Anita Lazzarino and Barbara Smith The Equestrian Center has been at Heritage Ranch since the first property was sold. The original developer used to give a pony to any property owner that wanted one. We have come a long way since then. Our goal at the Equestrian Center is to continue to make improvements and upgrades for the riding enjoyment of all our members. We want the Equestrian Center to be a place where we can all come and enjoy our time with our horses. The Equestrian Center has a total of 87 paddocks with 18 paddocks added in 2004 in the new section. As of June 2007, spaces are available in both areas which are leased on a monthly basis. Our equestrian riders have riding abilities ranging from just beginning to expert. Our horses include breeds from Quarter Horses, Arabians, Morgans, Appaloosas, Paints, Pasos, National Show Horses, Warmbloods to Miniature Horses. Some of the horses are award winning show horses. We have cutting horses, reining cow horses, horses that team pen, working cow horses, etc. Others do everything from dressage to all forms of English riding. We have one horse and a number of miniature horses that pull the carts that you may see around Heritage Ranch. A large number of the members have trail horses that they enjoy taking out on the great trails that we have here on the ranch. Those of you who are interested in getting your horse into the Equestrian Center should call the Association Office. A Committee Member will also be glad to give you a tour and answer any of your questions. The monthly fee is $50.00. That fee pays for an area of 24’ x 48’ for your paddock, a Wrangler feeding twice daily (from your own hay), water and access to all arenas, the wash racks (three with warm water), trailer parking, the hot walker, hay storage, pasture time on a first-come, first-serve basis and the best riding trails around. Things like pasture time, arenas, hay storage, etc. are shared with other members and their horses and/or dependent on their availability. If you want to visit Heritage Ranch’s Equestrian Center with your horse there a $10.00 daily fee paid in advance for a stall and Wrangler feedings of your hay. It is your responsibility to leave the stall, small arena, wash rack, etc. clean when you leave. Your horse must be current on all shots (vaccination records must be brought to the office) and wormings. So we welcome you to the Equestrian Center. Come and visit us. Feel free to call the Committee Members with any questions that you may have. We would be glad to help you any way we can. |
