Heritage Ranch has a fire department and beautiful fire station that is fully staffed, seven days a week.  The Fire Captain for Station 33, Marc Hanlon, and his crew: fire apparatus engineers, firefighters, and community paid call firefighters, are responsible for the local emergencies on land and on Nacimiento Lake.
Heritage Ranch Station 33 maintains three fire trucks and a rescue boat, which docks on Nacimiento Lake during the busy season.

Heritage Ranch Station 33 actively recruits for community paid call firefighters.  These community paid call firefighters training
includes firefighter drills which are held on second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
